We understand that starting the process of purchasing cabinetry can be overwhelming, with a dizzying array of options and a wide range of pricing. For some, it may not be immediately clear why there some quotes are more expensive than others.
To help you make an informed decision, we would like to outline what's included in our pricing:
Included:
Design:
Our pricing typically includes a fixed amount of design time suitable for the majority of projects. A key value we bring to the design process is that we design the cabinets using the same software we use for manufacturing. Why is this important? Because we customize each cabinet in real-time to ensure that every item you wish to store fits perfectly. Need the exact dimensions of a drawer box? No problem. Want to adjust the height of a door by 1/2"? Easy. Curious about what the inside of a cabinet looks like? Just let us know!
Another value we offer during the design phase is that once you sign an agreement with us, we act as a consultant and partner throughout the project. We will lay out the cabinets at the rough stage to ensure that plumbers, electricians, and other contractors know exactly where to place pipes and outlets. We'll review your appliances to ensure a proper fit and function, and we will address any cabinet-related questions your contractor may have.
Cabinet Construction:
Our cabinets are constructed from 3/4" thick hardwood plywood, even for face frame cabinets. This exceeds the industry standard, which typically uses 1/2" plywood or particleboard for face frame cabinets. This construction provides a more rigid box that is easier to install, sags less, and lasts longer. Our cabinets are assembled with screws, dadoes, and glue, not staples or dowels.
Finish:
Unless otherwise specified, our pricing includes shop finishing in any color of your choice using industrial conversion varnish, the most durable finish available for kitchen cabinetry.
Installation:
Our pricing also includes delivery and installation. Installation can be a significant expense that is sometimes overlooked. You can purchase the finest cabinets in the world, but without an experienced installer, they may not function as designed, leading to costly mistakes. The same team that designed and manufactured your cabinets will be the ones installing them, eliminating any finger-pointing between designer and installer.
Premium Hardware:
Quality drawer slides and hinges are critical for the long-term functionality of your kitchen. We use the finest European-made undermount drawer slides and concealed hinges. Our drawer slides are rated for a dynamic load capacity of 110 lbs per pair. In contrast, most box store cabinetry uses lower-quality hardware that misaligns quickly and fails prematurely.
Optional Upgrades:
Lighting:
Cabinet lighting has become increasingly popular. When you choose to add lighting to your project, the cabinets are built to seamlessly incorporate it. Dadoes are routed to accept flush lighting bars, and wire routing is planned in advance.
Heavy Duty Drawer Slides:
If a 110 lb capacity per pair isn't enough, and you need a drawer for your bowling ball collection, you can upgrade to even heavier-duty slides that can handle any load you can imagine.
Premium Interiors:
For those seeking a truly premium experience, we offer white oak or walnut cabinet interiors.
Endless Organization Options:
Have a specific item you need to organize? We have extensive knowledge of organization accessories from companies like Rev-a-shelf, Century Components, Blum, Salice, and more. If you can't find a solution from their product lines, we can easily create something custom to meet your needs.
Decorative Glass:
Our glass doors come standard with 1/8" clear glass, but you can easily upgrade to any glass of your choice, from reeded to frosted and beyond.
These are just a small sample of the optional upgrades available. Reach out today to schedule a consultation and learn more!
